Many of my favorite board games are what we call worker placement games, where players take turns placing workers at various points on the board to enable some action. Here are some of the best.
Caylus
Caylus has been around for a while, but it remains one of the major job-finding games and is 9 highest ranking game of all time on Board Game Geek. In 1289 decided to King Philip the Fair, a newCastle built to strengthen the borders of France. Players are master builders, recruitment of workers in the city (currently only a modest village) Caylus develop and build the castle in its vicinity. Some workers will receive the funds, some will build the castle, and some will be sent out to earn money, because while the king pays 2 coins on each round, that hardly enough to keep your workers busy .. .
Caylus has a semi-random set-up and no random factor once gameplay begins, while it takes 2-5 it is toochaotic, with the maximum number of players and is best with 2-3.
Agricola
Undoubtedly the most popular job-finding game has changed release Agricola between # 1 and # 2 spots in the rankings Board Game Geek almost since his. Agricola, translated from Italian means such as, farmers, and the players strive for in this game the best holdings. While originally only a farmer and his wife, the children can very quickly had his ... and theStunning lack of laws against child labor can put almost as fast work! A high-scoring farm must have a bit of everything ... Cereals, vegetables, fields, pigs, cows, etc. ... and of course at each harvest, the family will be returned!
